Umbra Publishing ("the App") is a private, single-operator tool used to publish video content to TikTok. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.
Data accessed
Through TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API, the App requests:
user.info.basic— basic profile information (open ID, avatar, display name) used only to confirm the app is authenticated as the correct TikTok account before publishing.video.publish/video.upload— permission to upload video files to the authorized TikTok account, either as a direct post or as a private draft.
How data is used
Data obtained through these scopes is used exclusively to authenticate the operator's own TikTok account and to upload the operator's own video content. No data is collected from, or about, any other TikTok user.
Data sharing
No data accessed by the App is sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party. Access tokens are stored only for as long as needed to perform uploads and are not used for any purpose beyond publishing the operator's content.
Data retention
Access and refresh tokens are retained only until they expire or are manually revoked by the operator. Video files are the operator's own content and are not retained by the App beyond what's needed to complete an upload.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the App's use evolves.
